Final day in Sydney

-
Today is our final day in Sydney.  We spent all afternoon on an excursion touring Sydney.....seeing sights we had not previously seen and/or sights from land (when we had previously seen them from the ferry tour in the Harbour).
Sydney has a number of lovely parks (large and small), churches, and museums.
Bondi Beach is one of several beaches in Sydney.  "It is an iconic stretch of fine sand and curling waves and one of the world’s most famous beach destinations".  "Experienced surfers head to the southern end of the beach, where southerly swells and a rocky reef create powerful waves".
While there was some smoke today (from the fires in Australia), the view of the Pacific Ocean is still awesome.
As the ORION exited the Harbour, we had one final look at Sydney - leaving with many wonderful memories of a beautiful city.

  2. Staterooms are fabulous - we have a Penthouse Jr. Suite.....bedroom and living room/sitting area, and veranda are very spacious; and the bathroom is the largest we have ever had on any cruise ship (large shower and double sinks, heated floor, and special mirror that does not fog-up).
We have two attendants - Rowena, from the Philippines, and Astawa from Bali.
Food is wonderful - varied and delicious, and plentiful. So far we have enjoyed: king crab legs (already cracked and split and easy to eat); beef wellington; steak (with bernaise sauce), veal, salmon - all of Tom's favorites. Also, Tom's favorite cocktail - Rusty Nail is available.
After a week in Sydney we had some laundry/dry cleaning, which was done for us (complimentary). I told them it was the "best folding" ever!!
    Who could ask for more?!
