What a beautiful morning and exciting afternoon in Queenstown!
Early this morning we climbed into a 4-wheel drive/off-road vehicle for a half-day tour - a scenic safari offering breathtaking mountain and forest views along the shore of Lake Wakatipu towards Glenorchy and the Paradise Valley.
In the afternoon we climbed aboard a jet boat speeding over 10cm deep water, along the famous Shotover River and deep into the spectacular Shotover River Canyon.
From the moment we left the jetty, our adrenaline hit the roof....experiencing 360-degree spins & travelling up to 90 kilometers an hour(about 56 miles per hour). As the Canyon walls towered over us, our expert driver put the state-of-the-art Jet Boat through its paces - riding the rapids and performing thrilling, gravity-defying stunts within a hair’s breadth of the awe-inspiring cliff faces.
You can see Tom and me in the jet boat.....3rd row from the front of the boat/2nd row from the back...we are seated in the middle in the row by ourselves.
