Leaving Christchurch, New Zealand for Maui, Hawaii

     Departing Christchurch, New Zealand with a stop/lay-over in Auckland, before heading for Honolulu, Hawaii with another stop/lay-over before finally landing in Maui.
      We left Christchurch at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, 2/15 and arrived in Maui at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, 2/15.  This may sound like an awfully long flight, but it was really quite pleasant - due to the fact that Tom & I each had 3 seats to ourselves, which folded into beds.  We both slept all the way from Auckland to Honolulu....about 8 hours.....so NO jet-lag for either one of us.
     While we were sorry to leave New Zealand and Australia, both very interesting and beautiful countries with wonderfully friendly people and great food, we are looking forward to a relaxing vacation on Maui. 

 

 

 

     Aloha!  It feels like "home" returning to the Ka'anapoli Beach Hotel where we have stayed many, many times on our past visits to Hawaii.  It was so nice to see some of the same staff/employees and to be welcomed as returning Ohana (family)!
