Early morning departure from the city, traveling to the Arataki Visitor Centre for some of the best views in Auckland.
Then we continued onto the farming and wine-growing areas of West Auckland - Kumeu and Huapai where we enjoyed lunch at Sojans Estate Winery.
After lunch, we headed for the East coast and the Northern beaches stopping at Devonpport before heading back to the hotel via the Auckand Harbour Bridge and through the downtown shopping area.
Dinner at Oyster & Chop at the Viaduct Harbor - a very lively place with lots of restaurants and music along side some gorgeous boats/yachts....."the place to be" on a Saturday night.
We enjoyed another delicious meal - with Tom ending with a Peanut Butter & Jelly creme brulee for dessert!
